Robin Bone | email@example.com
Robin is a clinical orthopaedic physiotherapist with a great desire to help people reach their maximal physical potential, whether they are recovering from injury or working to optimize athletic performance.
Robin received her degree in physiotherapy in 2003 with first class honours from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, Scotland. She has practiced in diverse clinical settings in Scotland, California, Florida, British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.
Robin has completed extensive post-graduate education. Since graduating, she has studied intra-muscular stimulation. IMS is a new technique for chronic pain management and Robin is one of the few certified practitioners here in Winnipeg. IMS is a total system for the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain conditions that occur in the musculoskeletal system. In her experience, the aging body, as well as, the high performance athlete is equally served by this technique. She has had particularly excellent results with neck and back pain, whether as a chronic issue or as a result of specific injuries.
Robin's manual therapy training includes cervical, thoracic, lumbo-pelvic, peripheral and myofascial manipulation all from the renowned, Stanley Paris, at the University of St. Augustine, Florida. Robin studied acupuncture at the Art and Science of Acupuncture, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Finally, she has a special interest in the role that abdominal and spinal muscles play in spinal stabilization. These muscles are an important building block for the treatment of the spine and the extremities, which if properly targeted by the clinician can provide a holistic approach to body health.
She is an active climber, mountain biker and cross country skier.

Mara Huynen | Marahuynenphysio@gmail.com
Mara Huynen graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2008 with a Bachelors of Medical Rehabilitation in Physiotherapy. After graduation Mara moved out to Vancouver where she practiced as a physiotherapist in a private practice setting for 6 years. During this time she completed several advanced level post-graduate courses in manual therapy/orthopedic techniques and also completed her acupuncture certification. While Mara wasn't actively pursuing her own continuing education, she mentored physiotherapy students for clinical placements.
In 2014, Mara returned to her hometown Winnipeg. She is thrilled to be back in Winnipeg and is excited to be working at Yoga Public Wellness. Mara believes in an integrated approach of treatment for her patients, combining manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, acupuncture and exercise prescription. She plans to continue taking post-graduate courses to further expand her skills as a physiotherapist.
When Mara is not at work, she loves to travel with her husband, walk her dogs, attend yoga classes and go for runs. She plans to build on her understanding of yoga practice, in order to further incorporate it into her physiotherapy practice. Her passion for yoga started in 2008 when she attended her first yoga class. Since then it's been hard to get her out of the yoga studio. She hopes to see many of the familiar faces from Yoga Public classes in for physiotherapy treatments!
